Boy, did I get a lot of exercise at the Corona Fourth of July Parade! Once again, my campaign entered a vehicle for the procession, with our big banners announcing the campaign. The parade announcer also introduced us to the crowd several times along the way. I ran behind the truck, from one side of the street to the other, collecting bags of candy and distributing them to happy, screaming children all along the parade route. Maya did a great job of shoveling candy into my hands, with the help of campaign-dog Amirah, and Bridget snapped some great photos of the event. I even ran into some friendly locals, who shook my hand and gave me hugs. After the parade I had the opportunity to meet several members of the Corona Chamber of Commerce, who offered to discuss the issues facing small businesses with us later in the year.
